Who's this Josh guy?

I make websites, databases and everything inbetween.
I've always been creating things since I was a child, and always dreamt of making my own video games after playing them. This passion transferred to web development when I started using websites online - I was fascinated by the websites and tools online that people could make!
One of my first projects was a small game for my dissertation, where players would have to figure out where a sound was coming from. It also exported the data into an easy-to-read format, which made me realise that I can use websites for a lot of reasons.
From that point on, I knew I wanted to make software for a living, but there was one issue: I didn't know how. So, after graduating university, I took a Software Development apprenticeship, gained some hands-on experience in a startup company, and never looked back!
The Peak District Fitness Retreat (PDFR) website is a website that I designed and developed from scratch via Laravel.
The site includes the ability to send emails to the admin via forms with field validation. The site can send an email to the customer to notify of them a successful booking, and another email to the admin address to show a booking has been made.
Visit siteThe Wildlifesite is a website that catalogues information about different species in the Downlee Wildlife Site - allowing you to see species info, images, videos, and number of sightings in a graph and table form.
Originally, the website was a static work-in-progress from another developer who was no longer working on the project. I finished the site and it is now a dynamic application with a back end.
